Without compromising on the utility and functionality of the office, the different elements of the design seamlessly come together to create a cohesive space.
At the offices of Marketpower, the largest prepress and printing service provider in East Africa, we wanted to create a rawness in relation to the manufacturing nature of printing. What’s better than an industrial-inspired look to tie in with the nature of their business whilst giving their offices an edge.
We achieved this by epoxy flooring, textured ceilings, exposed ducts and cable trays. By introducing art installations created with pipes, conduits and exposed bulbs, we added a quirky and fun element to the industrial space. Wall murals in prints such as stacked newspaper and distressed bricks add character to the space. The industrial-inspired bespoke joinery creates a showroom and display area whilst achieving storage space in an aesthetically-pleasing and functional manner.
A stand out element to the space is the feature wall with the MPI logo drawn out using conduits and rope light – a unique way to incorporate branding using industrial-inspired materials. Without compromising on the utility and functionality of the office, the different elements of the design seamlessly come together to create a cohesive space.
