We opted for an industrial and rustic scheme for the unconventional optical store, Eye Room. Staying away from the usual medical-themed set-ups, we indulged the opticians with floating timber shelving units, bespoke light fixtures, a textured two-tone ceiling and live edge timber details give this store a complete makeover.

These raw and unfinished details allowed us to marry the artificial elements of industrial design and the raw, natural elements of the rustic interior design. This unique combination oozes character and completely steps away from a conventional opticians’ workspace.

It is difficult to pick our favourite part because there are too many, but it’s definitely the bespoke ceiling installation. A suspended ladder made in solid wood wrapped in exposed cable and bulbs creates a one–of–a–kind ceiling installation, bringing together the rustic and industrial styles in perfect harmony.
